What would you think if you saw this happening to a child?

Sometimes posts on here remind me of the horrible parenting that my parents had.  I think about things that they did and I just don't understand how they could do that to a child.

Anyway, when I was little, every time I wet my pants I had to sit on the floor wearing my wet panties on my head.  They would make me sit there forever.  Company would come over and I would feel so humiliated.  I wasn't allowed to move or talk or anything.  All I could do is sit there and think about the fact that I had peed on panties on my head and I could smell them.  That was my punishment.

What would you think if you saw a parent doing this?  Would you even be able to believe that someone could be so cruel?  If you were a guest in this house, would you say something?

That's incredibly cruel.  I'm sorry that happened to you.

The only appropriate attitude for man to have about the big questions, is not the arrogant certitude that is the hallmark of religion, but doubt. Doubt is humble and that is what man needs to be, considering that human history is just a litany of getting shit dead wrong. - Bill Maher

This hits way to close to home to me my sons BM felt the proper way to potty train him would be to rub his nose in his poop. I wouldn't even do this to an animal much less a child. I'm sorry for what your parents did. If I ever saw anything like this I would be straight on the phone with CPS and the police department.

Like one time my Sister had a black eye from my mother Punching her in the Face and My mother Told cps she gave it to herself and they belived it and asked no other questions!

I'm in shock. Sorry that happened to you. Hopefully I will never have to witness something as that, and if I did, yes I would say something. It's hard to believe that people can be that cruel. Unfortunately, there are some out there.

my husbands parents used to lock his extremely claustrophobic sister in a high up small cubbord for hours if she ever did anything bad....

they were the ones that beat their kids with belts and hangers and threw hard heavy toys at their kids face at full speed.....

it's beyond horrible what some parents do to their kids

I'm sorry that happened to you, I know it's not the kind of feeling that time heals...

wow, that's not good at all.  :(

if i went to a friend's house and their kid was sitting with wet underwear on his/her head..I'd surely take them off and have a serious talk with my friend.

My daughter is almost four years old & I love her more than anything and anyone on this earth!
