I go to culinary school at night. Around 9pm DH texted me that someone had rang the door bell a lot and ran off, stupid kids, and to be careful when I got home. Shortly after that he heard someone running down the dog run on the side of our house (it's river rocks, makes a lot of noise), so he went out and looked around then shut all the blinds, etc and went to bed.
When I got home around midnight someone had spray painted "F*** the police" on our courtyard wall (we have a little courtyard in front of our house).
What the hell??
DH is a police officer over an hour away from where we live (we had a scary run-in with someone he had previously arrested while grocery shopping when we lived up there so about a year ago we moved out here). I am proud of him and I do talk about him and some things that he does at work but I don't talk about them to strangers/in public places other than sometimes on break in class.
One of our friends is over right now seeing if he can clean any of it up. Sigh.
Wow, that's scary!

Thanks ladies. He's not getting a whole lot off...thankfully we do have some extra paint around here somewhere. It's black spray paint on a beige wall. My camera batteries are dead or I'd take a picture. Hopefully the paint will cover it up okay... and thankfully we don't have company coming for Thanksgiving! That would be a nightmare LOL
i'm sorry that happend and i hate to say it but when that happened to my mom the only thing that worked was sandblasting it off
Quoting 247mamaandwife:
OMG that is freakin horrible and nasty! dont they think if they didnt have people like your husband protecting us on the streets then it would be maham ? i am sorry to see that done to you what a bunch of asses
sadly, i would've done that.. when i was young, stupid, shitty, immature and just a lowlife who didnt deserve anything, but got everything i wanted....
@247mamaandwife--- you DO realize that the people who did this, will be the ones who would be making the streets as maham, right? so to them- it doesnt matter because they dont care... and for cops (aka pigs to them) are below them.. as ADULTS, we see cops/the police as protectors. and even tho we dont have to experience, first hand what the officer and the family goes through, we appreciate them for what they do (willing to die for us, to keep the streets safe and the wives are putting their husbands out there- or just spouse- to protect others when they should be at home protecting their family).. but for them- the lowlife that i admit i once was-- they see them as enemies, only there to stop the "fun".. we/they (we as in a time when i was once them) seen them as only trying to "get us"- always against us, always trying to lock us up... didnt matter to us/them, that they were against us/trying to lock us up- BECAUSE we were breaking the law/causing maham... we didnt care about that, the cops or the innocent bystanders. we/they care about themselves and their own desire for fun- no matter who is in the way or what harm can be done.
so-- on behalf of my old behavior and the behavior of those people (hopefully they were like me- just bratty, stupid teenagers who will grow up soon), i apologize. i hope that you guys never have to go through this- or anything worse- again.
i know that because of my behavior in the past, and how ashamed i am of it-- i hope/vow to raise an upstanding citizen who respects/honors the law, as well as the individuals who are apart of it (cops, military.. spouses and family members, etc). i went from "fuck the police" to "if you ever get lost or are in trouble, you ALWAYS go to a cop!" lol talk about doing a 180, but it was for the better... and now, my 4 year old son wants to be a cop, so i think i'm on the right track.
