We color, play with dolls, play make believe, play outside, do worksheets to work on our ABC's, numbers, shapes, etc., go to the park, go to the zoo.  I am sure we do other things, but my brain is asleep at the moment.

we bake too

We usually watch a movie together, play with her barbies (she always gets mad cause apearently I just don't play right) Most of the time she just does her own thing playing and chasing her kitten.

My four year old is home in the mornings during the week.  We do lots of things we bake, dance, sing, he helps me clean (my boys LOVE to clean) we play the Vsmile or computer, play with his toys.  We just do whatever sounds good that day.

Here's the unabashed truth..

I don't do a whole lot of cleaning.. There are only 3 of us, we live in an apartment that is under 1000sq ft. Really not that much to clean up.. lol

My only child is a teenager, he can and does clean up after himself and help out around the house. Which also cuts down on my cleaning time.

So the truth is this. I spend the majority of my days: hanging on CM, shopping (groceries, I'm at the store nearly everyday we don't bulk shop),  cooking (I enjoy cooking and baking) reading, watching movies, hanging out with my husband when he has the day off,  working out, going to the library, going for walks in the park or along Water Front....... Yeah, I spend the majority of my days, just doing whatever strikes me.

Yep, I know sounds crappy, especially knowing that so many SAHM's are ran ragged everyday..  I"m just past that point in life,  and I'm good with it..

I have a 4 year old son and a 16 month old DD.

We like to cook and bake, though I don't bake everyday, LOL.  My son likes to count the ingredients like eggs and tbsp and tsp of whatever, and my DD likes to dump!  LOL.  We make trail mix almost every week, that's their favorite thing to make/eat.

I take them to story time at the library on Tuesdays.

If my son does his speech therapy and practices with me like he is supposed to he gets to rent a movie.  We make that a whole fun night where we go get a pizza and pop popcorn.

We also do arts and crafts at least once a week.  Whether it's coloring or painting, or making Aliens (we got this kit on clearance).  We are going to make the applesauce cinnamon Christmas ornaments at some point this month so the kids can give them to their grandparents for Christmas.

We go to the park if it's not cold or rainy too.

Oh and they "help" me clean and fold towels.  Yeah, that's a laugh, LOL.  Basically I save a basket of 2-3 towels so they will let me fold clothes.

Honestly, I spend a LOT of my time cleaning, there are 5 of us including 3 year old twins and a newborn in an 1800 SF house so there is tons of cleaning that needs done. The twins spend a lot of their time playing with each other, sometimes they color or paint and we have book to help them learn their ABCs and Numbers, how to write them anyway, they already know all their alphabet and can count to 20. They LOVE bathtime and thats when they do a lot of their learning. We also do a lot playgroup once a month and a workshop that does activities suited to their age once a month. Then there is a center that we go to a lot where they hold different fun classes and activities which we usually do 2-4 times a week, they have dance classes, painting classes, sesame street activitie classes and baby massage for the newborn. All of those activities are free and I also take them to the pool during the summer or we just fill up their kiddie pool here, they love being outside and playing with all the neighbor kids so they do that a lot and they have their sandbox which is a favorite. But other than that I am always cleaning, cooking or taking care of the baby. Also we try to once a month at least take them on a nice outing like the zoo or a discovery center.
