are there any other moms out there who have people always picking at there weight...and I mean people telling you your "too thin" "eat a cheesburger" blah blah blah...everyone is always picking on me including my mom who was the SAME size as me when she was my age..but she cant seem to remember that when shes telling me I look too thin and unhealthy
im breastfeeding right now and have been for a year...and im SURE once I stop ill probably gain some weight back...but right now I CANT gain any weight..I could eat an entire buffet alone and prob. not gain a pound, im tired of stuffing myself with food and overeating to try and gain weight to please others..it makes me feel sick and its not healthy, I eat ALOT to begin with so its not like I dont eat or w/e ..so ive decided to go back to eating like I was before, healthy ..and just tell people to shove it..and that includes my family..im tired of people making me feel bad about myself...
any other small moms out that..and do you have people constantly making you feel bad about yourself
?? im 5"3 ..99 lbs
yep. Always. except for when I'm pregnant
Ha! Made you look!
I get that a LOT! I'm tall, so it doesn't help any (it just makes me look that much thinner). I've never been able to gain weight really. Even when I was pregnant people would say things about how I don't weigh enough and I should eat more for the baby (with my third, when I went in to give birth I weighed 180 and she weighed 8lb 6.5 oz.)
Not at the moment, but yes I've been there! After I had my first DS I dropped down to almost 110 lbs and 13% body fat...I'm almost 5'8". I looked awful! But the truth is I was eating like CRAZY and just could not keep the weight on. At the same time, I was also (and still am) marathon training, so people would instantly assume that meant I had eating disorders, exercise addictions, etc etc. Even people in my family were caught saying things behind my back, mostly out of concern but it still hurt none the less.
After I quit nursing when DS turned 1 my body put the weight it needed back on, and I didn't have the same reaction after my second baby (in fact, i can't seem to lose the last 5 lbs, LOL!)
The bottom line is, if you are truly healthy, then all of those people need to be respectful and back off. No two bodies are built the same and people need to remember that! *hugs*
Everyone is always telling me I need to eat more....they make fun of me when they look at the amount of food I put on my plate. I just don't have a large appetite though. I'm not even super "small" or anything so it irritates me even more.
I'm also getting right now being 4 1/2 months pregnant because my pregnancies always come with horrible morning sickness and weight loss. So of course I've got people on my case because I need to "gain weight for my baby's health"...like I'm trying to purposefully starve my child. I eat when I can and take my vitamins. That's all I can do. Doc and I both know my baby is fine.
Lol... that's funny... my youngest sister asked me yesterday if I had lost weight recently... She said I looked a lot thinner. Like I know if I've lost weight! I still wear the same sizes of clothes, so I don't think I have, but who knows?
Then again, she did ask me a few minutes later if I was pregnant... she's crazy!
Isn't it funny how it is okay to tell a thin person to eat, but it's NOT okay to tell a heavy person to stop eating? It always makes me scratch my head.
Anyways, yes. I used to be way too thin. For about two years after my youngest was born. I am finally at a healthy weight - 5'5" 125lbs. For awhile I was about 105lbs.
