Attention Cafemomer's: I must vent.

Begin Vent:

I was diagnosed with Diabetes and Hypertension over a month ago and have been on a strict diet.  I just want to say that today I am hating my diet.  I am in full blown PMS mode and all I want to do is sit on the couch with a cup of hot cocoa, marshmellows, and chocolate and watch some sort of lifetime movie!  I'd like to dip my tongue in a cup of sugar, as well.  I'm tired of Truvia (artifical sweetener) in my coffee.  I miss my sweet tea.  I want some bbq ribs with lots of sauce on them!  Oh...and lets not mention how badly I'd like to have some white rice or white bread!!  But chocolate is my hardest craving....OMG. 

OK vent over. 

You may now proced with what you were doing!


On a positive note...I have lost 10 pounds.

I just want to applaud you for sticking to your diet. That is such a hard thing to do. Also great job on the weight loss. HANG IN THERE!!!!

FYI: You can get sugar-free cocoa mix or make hot cocoa from scratch with artificial sweetener in it. If you budget for it in your diet, you can satisfy your PMS chocolate cravings.

Thank you, it is an every day struggle because I LOVE FOOD! :)  Finding out I had Diabetes and Hypertension was the only way to get me to stick.  I want to live a long life.  Guess it took that to do it!!

Oh honey, do I ever know about the sugar free stuff!!!  You just reminded me to pop me a baskin robins sugar free candy :)  I just miss the real stuff.  Ya know.

 Girl 10 pounds is awesome. That must account for not drinking sweet tea and eating BBQ ribs..... I would love to loose 10 pounds right now but I have been on Prednisone(spelling) for the last 7 days and I have wanted to eat everything but the kitchen sink!

I have totally cut out sugar out of my coffee and teas.  No soda either!  well can't have it even if i wanted it.  I guess that helped.  Plus eating lots more vegies and salads.  Man ...sometimes a salad never tasted so good! HAHA  That sucks being on Prednisone...that stuff will blow you up!  I hope you feel better soon for whatever reason you're on that stuff!  Eat some chocolate for me!! LOL
