If You Could Ask A Pro-Choice Person ANYTHING...what would it be?  Would you really listen to the answers?  I think a lot of the misunderstanding pro-life people have with pro-choice people stems from pro-lifers thinking pro-choicers think exactly as they do. 

For example, many pro-life people think a fertilized egg is a baby, so they assume everyone thinks it is a baby.  Therefore, they cannot imagine why anyone would have an abortion, because they would have to be knowingly killing a baby, right?

Feel free to ask any question you would like and I, as a pro-choice person, will be  happy to answer, and other pro-choice women are more than welcome to answer as well. 

I only ask one thing in return, I would appreciate it if pro-life women would honestly answer just one question:  When you hear the word "abortion", what exactly are you picturing in your mind about the procedure itself?

That is an excellent question.

I do not think that an embryo is a child. 

The majority of abortions occur before 8 weeks.(1)  An embryo cannot feel, see, hear, smell, taste, move, or experience anything at all.  It doesn't have a face, arms, legs, fingers, toes, hands, ears, etc., etc.  It is so small that a person would have a hard time seeing it without a microscope.  That is not what I consider to be anything like a baby. 

The following is from a doctor who performs abortions, answering a question similar to yours, on another web site:

There are many misconceptions about early pregnancy.  There is no visible embryo until you are between 9-10 weeks pregnant.  On ultrasound, the cells that later form the heart begin to beat - long before a heart develops - at about 7 weeks of pregnancy.  You may find reading earlyabortion.com helpful.  Abortion is a legal medical service; and not murder.  Murder is a criminal act.

Just in response to your question, I picture exactly what happens, I have seen the medical videos of them being done and have watched step by step proceedures, I know what happens, I am against abortion 100% I really dont have any questions, but I do know what actually happens in both early and late term.

Some believe 'human life' begins at conception; some at heart beat; and some with brain activity.  Until Science can prove definitively without a doubt a set time; you will always have this debate.

Also, science will never "prove" that it is or is not a baby.  Whether or not it is a baby is subjective and is a matter of opinion.

I don't personally agree with multiple abortions due to lack of protection etc; however it isn't my conscience or guilt to have to deal with for the rest of my life; it's someone else's.  I don't want anyone else to be able to have any say over what happens or not with my body why would I feel I have the right to make that decision for another?

Wow this is a tough one! While I do think yes, it is okay for a woman to choose abortion however many times she wishes, it is not a wise decision. Abortions take a toll on a womans body. Its not a form of birth control and shouldnt be treated as such. I do think that with abortion consultations there should be discussions about future birth control options.

I have to disagree with that because once their is a hearbeat it is a living thing. And stopping someones heart is murder.
