Where did you/want to go for a honeymoon?

Where did you go for a honeymoon or if you haven't yet where do you want to go?

Me and the dh went to belize to a tiny little island that was 3 blocks long. It was so much fun, even though we weren't very smart finacially and took out a personal loan that we are still paying on it every month, but it was totally worth it. You only live once.

I didn't get a honeymoon since we paid for our wedding ourselves. We couldn't afford it. If I could have gone anywhere though, I would have chosen Fiji or Italy.

We havent taken one yet. He is getting deploied in spring and i heard him planning a cruise for us when he gets back. Im not suposto know but he is getting us a balcony sweet and having the capt. re marry us! But shhhh i dont know that. lol

DH is deployed right now and I think he's in Belize! lol. I wouldn't know though because I haven't talked to him in over a week. Last I did though that was their game plan. We went to S. Padre Island in Texas. His mom "paid" for our hotel, but later I found out she used his credit card for it ( she keeps it so we don't spend money on it) so really we paid for it. and now we're paying interest on it! If I'd of known that we would've just paid for it out of our checkings. We had a lot of fun, really wanted to go on a cruise but maybe for our anniversary.

Gran Bahia Principe all inclusive resort in Akumal Mexico (about an hour south of Cancun) for two weeks. It was WONDERFUL!

We went to Hawaii:)  I'm planning a surprise for dh to go back on our 10 year anniversary....which is less then a year away!!!!

We had a destination wedding on a beach in Hawaii!  Wouldn't change a thing!  Everything was perfect!  We went back to Maui last year for our 3 year anniversary - and loved every minute of it.  Still paying for the Maui trip - but SO worth it!  Those are memories that no amount of money could replace - we chose to do that instead of buy material items.

I'm counting the road trip we took this summer as our honeymoon/first family vacation.  It was almost 8 years after the fact but heck at least we got to go somewhere together.  Maybe after our daughter moves out in say maybe 14 years we can try a real honey moon...lol

We went to the Couples Resort in Jamaica..sigh...it was just wonderful, we plan to go back on our ten year and renew our vows.  It was so romantic...I would recommend it to anyone!

Well when we got married my husband had to leave for Germany (military orders)  2 days after the wedding so we didn't get to go anywhere, but when I went to Germany to join him we went to Amsterdam and France for 1 week. It was BEAUTIFUL!!! So I consider that my honeymoon :)
