I have been battling insomnia for a couple of weeks (due to anxiety) and the pharmacists told me about Melatonin. Have any of you tried it and does it work? Any info is good info. THanks a bunch and have a good day!
My DD swears by her melatonin to get her to sleep when she's going through insomnia. I get the 5mg, and she takes a couple at bedtime.
It helps, but you want to be able to get like 6-8 hours of sleep when you take it. When you first wake up, you'll feel a little drowsy but after you fully wake up, you'll fine a lot better.
Brittany. I'm 19. Alexis is my first baby and is the light of my life. I don't believe in getting married b/c of a child and while we are happy together, my boyfriend and I do not plan on getting married.

I take a couple when I'm really stressed and don't sleep (which has been pretty often the last couple of weeks). I usually wake up feeling pretty good!
Thank you for your responses. My pharmacisits recommended it and says that it is very safe with little to no side effects. I have tried it a couple of nights and it has really helped relax me. I took 3 mg, but I am going to try 5mg tonight. Most of everyone I know swears by it and I also read that lots of people give it to Autistic children. My 13 yr old cousin even takes it every night (DR told her mom to give it to her). I will keep you posted but would love to hear from anyone else!
