Have you 'adopted' an angel from the tree?

Have you ever put your kids on the tree?

Have YOU ever been on the tree?

When i was a child (like 6 or 7) it was a really rough year for my mom. Mine and my siblings names were put on the tree. Thankfully we were all picked, and we all had a great christmas thanks to the generosity of others.

i am now 21 with a family of my own.

i feel its my turn to give back. i 'adopted' 2 angels today, a boy and a girl.

im so excited to be able to do this for someone else!!

just curious how the other mommies on here feel?

We do every year..my kids each pick an angel off the tree and they shop for them. Last year we started a tradition where they took one of their presents of their choosing(of course I kept the important ones out of it) and gave it to their angel.

if you are one of those overly annoying people, who seem to get offended over every little thing, and like to pull out the "judgemental" card....please, do not quote me.  i don't pay attention to stupid and i do not deal with whiners.

get yourself a tissue, grow up, and move on.  and have a great day.  :-)

just curious... i asked the lady at the table by the tree and she told me you dont HAVE to buy what is on the ticket. you can buy ANYTHING to give as a gift.

kids are allowed to have hopes and dreams and wishes. :)

LOL, it's a siggy and i've gotten quite a few comments on it, so move on, because i don't care.

of course they are allowed hopes and dreams.  but the idea of a parent allowing a child to ask a complete stranger for 300.00 worth of things just rubs me the wrong way.  we do get a few toys for the bins at toys r us.  and i'm sure i'll get bashed, but i prefer donating to animal charities, honestly.

I used to adopt ANgels from the tree every year, when we finally needed help for our kids we were turned down.  It hurts becuase we did this for years and years, my hubby and I, the kids even helped pick out presents.

Because we make $30 too much a month to get assistance(food stamps) until our baby is born we were denied the help from the angel tree for our kids.
