hey ladies.  decided this would be the best place to post about our kitty.  we had a cat for 7 years. he was a short haired gray and white tiger.  my oldest (who is now 5) never showed any signs of allergies. our cat got leukemia and had a seizure so we put him down about 3 weeks ago.  sunday (2days ago) we picked out a kitty. he is a 3month old short haired gray and white tiger same as our old cat. all day today my oldest has been sneezing. and they do not sound like normal sneezes.  they sound barky.  he does get croup a few times a year, so i know the bark, but that is a barking COUGH, this is a barking sneeze. any help ladies? advice, tips? thanks

My daughter is allergic to cats, one bothers her the other doesn't.  I don't get it either.

I think your body gets use to your pets.  I have 2 cats and they don't bother me at all, but if I go to someones house that has cats I have an instant allergic reaction.

When you neuter or spay it will decrease the allergens in thier dander. Something like that.
