I just keep telling myself "I wanted this, I wanted this." **Vent**

So I am 7weeks pregnant with my second child. I was so excited when dh wanted to try again, because I enjoyed my first pregnancy so very much.

So flash forward to this pregnancy. I have lost 8-10 lbs. Not by choice. Most days I can't even hold down water or small melted chips of ice. I throw up, dry heave, gag at every single smell/thought. I have tried everything... I am on prescription Phenergan right now(nausea meds) and I can't even hold the damn pill down! I bought sea bands....yea that didn't work out.

I feel like I have been on a drinking binge for two weeks. The room won't stop spinning. Not to mention I have an 18 month old littler girl/monster(not that bad, but you know how toddlers can be.) My dh hs no clue what to do, he's pretty clueless when it comes to, well anything woman related.

The last time I was hugging the toilet(about 15 minutes ago) I briefly thought about just camping out in  there....but then Natalee was at the door knocking and knocking, yelling "Mama, I tee tee!!!" So yea. I have no idea what the point of this post is, other than I actually WANTED this pregnancy and it's totally kicking my ass. And it sucks. And that's about it, just getting it out I guess.

I've taken anti nausea suppositories (prescription cant remember the name) before and they kind of helped but mostly made me dopey and sleepy so it was hard to care for my other dc but dh worked nights and would care for them most of the time for months......... it was horrible but I am always sick my whole pregnancy till the end but #5 was the worst of them.

ginger is really good for that, but be aware, most brands of ginger-ale do not contain ginger.  I think canadian dry advertises to have ginger in theirs.  Another option is ginger capsules.

Maybe drinking ginger-ale or ginger tea will settle you enough to get the phenergan down.

I really hope you feel better soon.  I remember being sick while pregnant with DD and everytime I got sick I would think to myself "oh what have I done", lol.

Oh hun!  I feel your pain!  I'm working on baby #3 and the first like 4 months were the same way for me!  Absolutely AWFUL compared to my other two pregnancies!  Even now (I'm almost 27 weeks) things are rough!  Try taking a Unisom and a B vitamin together at bedtime - they help with the next day's nausea.  It was the only thing that helped me.  I lost a TON of weight at first too...and then I had swine flu a few weeks ago, so I feel like I'm just now getting to my normal PRE pregnancy weight!  Hang in there - it will get better!

thanks for the support and advice :) I see the ob on monday, and im considered a high risk pregnancy(not multiples, medical issues) so i dont know if that even matters or not, but you can bet he's going to hear about this when he asks "so any problems?" and expects a "no, everything's great!!" yea, he's totally going to hear a "wellllll, let me tell you about the past 4 weeks."

haha, thats EXACTLY what I have been thinking!!!! Then the "oh crap, omg, oh no" factor settles in, that this isonly the beginning, in less than 2 months, I'll be doing this ALONE(with the toddler) and then raising this already problem-child, to at least 6 months without my dh....yea, i'm going to try to wait until the baby is actually here to cross that bridge, because if i do it now, i will probably be put in a nice soft, padded rom somewhere

I'm so sorry you are feeling so sick! I felt aweful in the begining of my pregnancy with my son, but no where NEAR what you're going through, that's what I'm afraid of getting pregnant again, having the complete opposite pregnancy lol.

I found that those starlight mints (red and white stripped mints, you can get like 2 bags for a dollar at any gas station) really help with my stomach, or any mint for that matter. Ginger ale also, but I wouldn't try it if you can't even hold water down...

Keep trying to drink things here and there, but I'd really try the mints, it always seems to sooth my belly when it's REALLY upset.

Hang in there!!! It will be worth it in the end when you get to see and hold that beautiful baby for the first time :) You can do it mama!

I'm high risk too (both  my boys were preemies - i had pre-e with the first)! But we figured the reason this time around has been so bad is bc its a girl :-P   Maybe you're getting a boy?  They say different genders lead to majorly different prego experiences.... :-)
