What would you do if doc told you to abort? (More info)

I have a heart condition that I got from having my son...now I probably won't be able to have anymore kids...here's the problem....I'm on one of the best birth control methods and I'm doing everything I'm sopposed to but there's always that chance....as of now, if I get pregnant I have, at best, a 50/50 chance of surviving ...that includes the baby and if I lived I would have an 85% chance of dying within 5 years...so most docs tell us to abort...what would you do? I'm pro-life but I also believe in these situations that ya gotta do what ya gotta do but it's not something I'd ever want to consider....I'm asking pro-lifers what would y'all do? I'm not saying pro-choice can't answer...but I'm looking for pro lifers. Thanks y'all...

 

EDIT-I can't get my tubes tied b/c I might not make it through. Good points about the vasectomy and it being reversable. Also good points about me having to think about the son I already have and adoption being an option. I really appreciate everyone's input and the fact that no one has bashed me! Thanks y'all!

I would have gotten my tubes tied, and my hubby would have a vasectomy. I don't think I'd have to worry about pregnancy then. :)

I can't do that, too dangerous for me and we're afraid to have him get a vasectomy in case I overcome this and am able to have kids again. But thank you for replying =)

Personally, if I was doing everything not to get pregnant and did anyways, I would think it was meant to be and God would take care of me and my baby. That's just me.

if its really THAT dangerous for you, why would you even take the risk?? Why havent you guys gotten permanent birth control?

you're not pregnant right now..so I would get my tubes tied you already have one child I wouldn't risk leaving him without a mother.
