Is the stuff you eat at Thanksgiving "Dressing" or "Stuffing"? Do you consider them to be the same thing or different? Do you think it is the best or is it nasty stuff?
Technically I guess they are the same thing. We make what we call dressing since we don't cook it inside the turkey.
us too.

I grew up with it being called "filling". I make mine 2 ways. In the bird of course. I also fry it in butter.
i've always called it stuffing... but i am hearing more and more ppl calling it dressing ((shrugs)) i love it! it is my fave part of thanksgiving dinner lol
we make stuffing, but we also make rice dressing lol. that's the only thing I use "dressing" for though.

Our family is little and broken, but still good.
I like that! same here. where I grew up (Colorado) it was stuffing- in or out of the bird. But now I live in the south and everyone calls it dressing? I think it's funny!!! ANd I love it BTW. Have to have it to make a great meal on Thanksgiving!

Stuffing. You put dressing on salads.

I consider dressing to be more moist and mushy. There aren't any chunks of bread really. I like the stuff that is considered southern style cornbread dressing.
I consider stuffing to be a little less moist and you can actually distinguish the bread cubes in it....like what comes in the box.
Stuffing all the way. I stuff the turkey and also make extra.
