I'm getting my hair highlighted on Saturday, and it's going to cost $100.00. How much do you think I should tip?

Lol, depends on how good your hair looks!

If you like it, $20.

I'm not sure what the proper amount is, but I would probably tip $10.

i would tip $10. if they are charging $100 for a high-light, thats a lot!! it doesnt cost them that much at all to do it, so they are already making a lot of money from you.

15-20 percent is standard for services ........I read somewhere that it might be more for hair and nails and stuff...........

This! p.s. Remember if you like it go back to the same stylist(colorist) tip well and you find mysterious "openings" when you are in a hurry to get er done and gone!  comprende?

The same as for a restaurant. At most places the stylist doesn't see that whole $100 but she gets to keep her tips. I got my hair done, cost me $135, I loved the color hated the cut so she got $150 total.

Also...How long is your hair? do you plan on having a cut and style? If so highlight AFTER the cut NOT BEFORE. Is your hair virgin? If not ..what do you have on your hair..what is the color difference desired? yadda yadda yadda...Is the 100.00 a min or max price?  now yadda yadda yadda again...
