oh and i forgot to add is he having retractions when he breaths? where if you look at his bare chest below his nipples his ribs look like they are sucking in or the same thing with his throat? if so you should take him to the er it means he is having to work hard to breath and they will give him a breathing treatment and monitor him
Call your doctor and get the dosage of Benadryl and Robitussin DM. I can give my 2 year old 1/2 tsp of each and it really helps! My doctor told me that as long as you give the correct dose, they will be okay.
We just got over the "snots". They never ran fever, but they had snot that just wouldn't stop. My oldest has a prescription cough syrup that we had to give her the first 2 nights so she could relax and stop coughing long enough to fall asleep.
Keep offering food and drink (water, orange juice, etc.)
Hope he gets to feeling better

I HAVENT TAKEN LOGAN TO THE DOC!!!!
Quoting Stephaniel28:

An old home remedy for coughing my grandmother used
karo syrup w/ a little lemon
It will help coat and soothe the throat. Be careful w/ the vicks (too much of it is bad)
obviously tylenol for fever
Pedialite (sp?) since he has fever. Don't want lo to get dehydrated plus the extra fluids will help boost his immune system and flush out the bad bugs
call the pediatrician in the morning
when my dd's are like that i give them a nice warm bath and either before or after i get the bathroom all steamy and the steam helps... i also give them warm tea to drink. both my girls love green tea or some regular tea with lemon and honey, it really helps sooth the throat and the warm liquid seems to help with the stuffies as well
