  • i think extended bf is fine, babies will eventually stop on their own (even not babies, but at 3 or 4 or even 5) but at 8 if they havent stopped then maybe something is wrong with them?? bc its just not natural. children begin to lose their 'milk teeth' at around age 5, when its time to naturally stop breastfeeding

  • Here is a video on EBF that is very informational. I 100% believein child-led weaning, but they normally wean before 8. I do no think there is anything wrong with it though. I know some women think it is child molestation and I find that to be ignorant. I think to each their own, though I would probably bf to 5 maybe even 6:)

  • I know its a totally natural thing but I didnt do it.  I would also find it disturbing when a first grader asked to leave early because they had to go home to breastfeed.  Personally, I dont think she is doing her daughters any favors by breastfeeding them that long, but, each to his own, I guess.

I wonder how her first boyfriend is going to act when she tells him she has to get home from their date to breastfeed.

  • I should watch that again...
I thought that the 8 year-old actually weaned a couple of years ago, she is 8 when the video was made...

Since it's a cultural taboo, and I don't agree with nonsensical cultural taboos, lol, I don't see the big deal.

But ultimately, if a mom chooses to give her child formula it's her parenting choice.   Or not vaccinate, or extend-breastfeed, or whatever...

  • I wouldn't do it that long personally, but I have no issues wit people who practice EBF. As long as mother and child are happy with it, and the mother isn't perverted in any way, I fully support it.

  • Disgusting.

    It's definitely for the MOM'S enjoyment/pleasure/whatever rather than the child's nourishment/whatever.

Just plain disgusting. Seriously. Maybe this lady just gets off on it. If a man was trying to pull this shit it would be sexual abuse!

  • Im still on the fence about it all.  I never really got that attachment from breastfeeding my twins.  I did it for 6 months and still...nothing.  I think I had PPD thought.  Now im VERY attached.  Maybe if i continued i would feel strongly about how awesome it is.  IDK.

  • Wow! Am I the only one who thinks this is nasty and disturbing? The kids are OBSESSED with mom's breasts! The draw pictures, name them and talk to them? This is NOT normal. I support EBF but this is absolutly rediculous. Eww, yuck omg I need to go throw up now!!!  (go ahead bash me, I can take it)
