Question: cookies a good idea or bad idea?

I dont have alot of money this year to spend on gifts for my family and extended family and thought that i might ask them what there favorite cookie is and make them there own dozen of that cookie for there gifts. would you be happy to get that or would you think i was just being cheap?

As the old saying goes, "it's the thought that counts".

I've done that many a time over the past few years. We were strapped even before this recession hit, LOL.

Last year I made reindeer cookies (nutter butters were the faces, M&M's for the eyes, chocolate chip for the nose, and pretzels for the antlers). I also made homemade truffles (YUMMMMMM). Put them in a pretty tin and voila!

only suggestion i have is instead of making them all their favorite cookie make a variety of cookies and divide them evenly that way they dont even suspect anything. i think your thoughts would be much appreciated.

Taking each day as it comes and trying to make the best out of every situation. I love my family and hate to cook, Taco bell is my favorite although i try not to eat out all the time. Im a probreastfeeding, anti CIO, gotta work kind of mom.

I think that the cookies are better than any other thing b/c you put your effort and time on it. I'd love to have cookies...

I love cookies and think greedy ppl who expect gifts suck anyway. I'm making everybody baskets of fudge since they're always asking for them and I'm broke this year.
