Let it wait till after Christmas enjoy your holiday there won't be penalties for just being a few weeks late. You should really think about rolling everything together.

Check out my book http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Yes-They-Are-All-Mine/Linda-Dyson/e/9781438909295/?itm=3   You can help save lives check it out !

I thought it should have been together in the first place. I was not aware you had to pay taxes 3 different times a year on your home!!! Not to mention, either way if I pay it a few weeks later or not, there is still no money to do so. I cant spend it or I will not have it to pay it. Not to mention I really didnt have it in the first place and I am not fully sure how I am going to do this!! This is sooo irritating!!

If your mortgage is escrow you don't have to pay it. They send a copy to you and to your bank. Is it the normal tax paper or is it a warning kind of thing??

That really sucks!I honestly think all taxes screw you over! Its amzing how much taxes the government get!I wouldn't let it ruin your holiday, see if you can pay half that or something.

Most people get a 10 day leway  before it is counted "late payment" and then you have to be behind on 3-4 payments before they take the house into foreclosure.

Sure it will rack up a late fee and interest but you can let it slide now n then if you can get it caught up.

What do they want the money for if all the taxes and things are paid through the mortgage??

Call them and ask.

Look on your mortgage bill and see if the amount of the bill and the amount they have paid in the past match. I get bills for my taxes but don't have to pay them because my mortgage company gets the same bill and they pay it......with my money, the extra paid into the escrow account. Check it out. You are probably paying home insurance through escrow too.

so you weren't paying enough into your mortgage to cover your taxes.. you should talk to your mortgage company to adjust that. and the IRS has nothing to dowith your house and land taxes.

FEDERAL WAGE TAX is what the IRS deals with.

The taxes you pay on your home goes to the township you live in and the school system there.
