I guess I've been a procrastinator most of my life...starting with not unloading the dishwasher when my mom told me to 5 times! It's time for me to change :o)

I feel like each day should be cherished and I'm just saying 'Okay, let's see how I can get through today quickly'. I have a wonderful husband and 2 year old daughter that light up my life...I just need to be a better person for all of us.

I've never been one to follow a 'schedule' each day, but I think I need to start..not a strict one, but one that will allow me to get things accomplished every day....whether it's getting 2 loads of laundry done, exercising, or taking my daughter to the museum, etc. Does anyone have advice for me to get started and keep it up? How do you stay positive every day?

Motivation is not the same for everyone.  What works for me may not work for you.  BUT what works for me is a lists.  Every evening before bed I make a list of what I need to do the next day.  This also helps me sleep, lol because once I have written it all down I don't lay and think about it.  I break down everything as much as I can.  I take great joy in marking things off my list.  If a long list overwhelms you then make your list more general.  Some days my list is very long, some days it is pretty short but I get satisfaction completing the list.

Another trick I have found for those days I just don't feel like doing anything is what I call commercial cleaning.  I will camp out in front of the TV until a commercial comes on then only while the commercials are on I work on one item on my list.  I will challenge myself to get more than one item done but I can only do it while a commercial is on.  Commercial on, I go back to TV.  Most days after a couple of hours of this (unless I am sick) I am motivated to just finish the list.  But giving myself permission to be a little lazy helps mentally.  I hope some of this helps a little.
