Every time I have to take a cake out of a cake pan, especially a bunt cake pan I get all freaked because I am afraid it will not come out in one piece.  LOL

Nope! I use cake release. You can buy it in most large stores that sell Wilton supplies. It's a little gritty. It's a mixture of oil and flour. You put that in your cake pan, spread it around.. especially in the corners. Every baked item comes out perfectly, without a fight. It's awesome!

Are you kidding? Bunt cakes are the easiest! You just have to make sure they set long enough or they'll get soggy (-sigh- the "Strawberry Bunt Cake Incident of 2003" LOL)  Square cakes are the ones I sweat over, but I tend to just leave them in the pan (I'm lazy)

Not really.  I was taught that you grease the pan with crisco and wait until it is barely warm, then run the cake tester around the edges to loosen, put a plate on top of the pan, while smacking the bottom of the pan, once cake is loose, then flip and voila! :)

I used that Pam with flour and THANKFULLY the cake came out perfect.

I was worried because it is applesauce cake with is really moist and I was afraid it would be more likely to stick.

Lmao yes! I am glad to know I am not the only one. I have to make 2 pies and 1 cake. Last year the 2 pies turned out horrible, because i was so distracted by my 3 kids, I couldn't concentrate. My mom wants me to come to her house tonight and make the 2 pies and cake, so i can concentrate and hopefully they all turn out right.

Applesauce bunt cake? Damn, that sounds good!

I'm going to start on a cinnamon and peanut caramel apple pie in a few hours... Somehow I'm going to have to resist the temptation to eat it tonight!

Flour does tend to work wonders, by the way.

Im making the dessert for tomorrow's dinner (cake & cookies) and this is the first time i have baked a cake in my new apartment in my new cake pans. I am so nervous that im going to screw it up. I have made cakes before but using my moms mixer and pans. All my stuff is new and i have a handheld mixer (she has the machine). fingers crossed i dont screw it up.

I actually got the idea from those peanut-covered caramel apples they sell around Halloween. I've always loved apple pie, and I love caramel apples... This is going to be a trial and error recipe---I've never done it before! I'm a little nervous the caramel will come out too thick and sticky...

I'm trying to think of a way to jazz up my cherry pie, but cant seem to come up with anything. Guess there's nothing wrong with the "old school"... LOL Any ideas?

(You're making me want applesauce cake...really bad...LOL)
