So I have made a few posts lately on how the city's sewer main backed up into my house and destroyed my basement (this is where my bedroom, both kids' bedrooms, a bathroom, my laundry room, the kids playroom, and a small storage room are) and most of our things a cleaning crew came out and removed and even threw out as it was contaminated. So my kids and I are living in the upstairs living room (it's a family home there are 6 of us living here) and we have been sleeping on air mattresses and all of the clothes and toys me and the kids have left fit into a single garbage bag. So that sucks royally, now we find out that our home owners insurance won't pay for anything as it was the city main and the city should be responsible, and the city won't pay as they claim so long as they clean the mains once every 2 years it is considered reasonably clean and any damage is the home owners responsibility. We had to take down the christmas tree I just put up last week so I could re-arrange our living room so I could put a futon in here because we are going to be stuck in the living room for weeks and I really don't want t be on an airmattress that long. It has really messed up my dd's schedule and sleep patern for school. We have no room for anything and thanksgiving is tomorrow. What about chirstmas, we will still probably be in the living room. Ugh it is just soo darn depressing. Ok thanks for letting me vent.
