i've never shopped on one- i panic like a mofo when im around alot of people so ive stayed away. but, this year my friend has talked me into piling into her van with our 5 little ones and braving the stores. do people really push and shove? and camp outside stores? and curse each other? i did work at Gap during a black friday and the line was WRAPPED around the store but i didnt see any fights or anything...
Ok, it really isn't that bad, however if you are going in the early morning, I would not take children. Earlier in the morning, people seem to be in a big rush but as the sun comes up people generally calm down. Have fun!
Yeah they can get pretty bad.. One year they had toasters for 5.00 and the display was by the produce.. well one woman went to pick up the last toaster and another woman went got a apple and threw it at her and hit her in the back of the head with it.. And the fight was on..

i wish that was an option but i'm a single mom and her husband NEVER watches the kids so we gotsta take em!
Well Dh is going to walmart about 8 pm thansgiving day to start "camping out" the laptop pallet. After I drop him off, I am going to "camp out" at best buy until they start handing out tickets for the doorbuster at 3 am and then they open at 5 am. I am bringing a backpack with stuff to do and my folding lawn chair, you know the ones that you fold up and put in the carry bag and it has a cup holder on the side. lol.
I am letting DH brave walmart because last year ths check ran over my foot with her stroller so I stomped on her foot when she passed me. I have never had anone grab anything away from me but then again, this is the first year that we are going for hte doorbuster items.

Omg! My husband and I camped out 2 yrs ago next to the Powerwheels Jeeps for $80. We got there at 12:00 and they cut the tape at 5:30....hubby doesn't go with me anymore..LMAO
I worked in 2 different stores 2 times for it, and....I dunno it wasn't too bad on my end. Granted it was no Walmart. lol I worked at Sears, then Staples. But it did get crazy just with there being a lot of people. I have never shopped on a Black Friday either, I'm tempted to just do it all online if I see anything I or DH wants/needs. I don't want to brave the crowds alone! lol.

I wouldn't take my kids...its not bad buts its hectic and I would be afraid they would get lost or hurt. If it wasn't an option to go alone I wouldn't go. Me and my 2 best friends are starting at Old Navy at 3am.....our hubbys watch the kids and go out to breakfast and then all go to our house and play with the kids until we return then we all have dinner together.....its kind of a tradition!
