I'm actually too embarrassed to ask my dr. this but my major concern about going for the IUD is that it could get dislodged during sex... like the really into it kind of sex. . And SO is kinda big too..... would that make the chances higher?? I know I sound like a wierdo, but thats the one thing preventing me from getting it. Help please! I just wanted to know if this has happened to any of you or someone you know. Any advice or insight will help.

My dh could actually feel it in certain position or so he says.  I would talk to your doctor about it.

I don't think so because it goes in your uterus on the other side of your cervix. I just had mine put in yesterday and it goes pretty far up there...lol

Mine did actually come out after having rough sex. It fell out three years after having it. I loved Mirena. It did fall out but it was kinda our fault. It felt like a cramp when it was coming out. I checked with my doctor to make sure evertything was ok and like 6 months later we were pregnant! The IUD was great!

I have the Mirena IUD, sometimes during sex it pokes my husband, but only in certain positions and it also depends on how deep he is (again only in certain positions).
The Mirena also has strings he can feel sometimes, but it's nothing that bothers him.

Your SO might be able to feel it, cuz mine says he can but it won't get dislodged. They have to open your cervix to put it in and then close it ...it ain't goin' anywhere lol. But don't be afraid to ask your doc.

Is it really painful? I had a c section and only dialated 2 1/2 cm. I heard it hurts less if you've delivered vaginally.
