This will be my 5th year cooking Thanksgiving dinner.  Last year everyone came to my house and seemed to really enjoy the dinner.  I always cook it in a roasting pan with extra juice and veggies.  This year I'm cooking it at my mother's house and she seems to be upset that I'm not using a bag.  So I'm just wondering which you ladies prefer.

Roasting pan. I like to drizzle the juices on it throughout and add spices.

Same here!  Do you use a lid?

We fry ours but I prefer the turkeys cooked in bags over those just done in the roasting pan.Seems to come out much more moist!

I use a roasting pan that has a rack in it.  I brine my turkey so I do not need to open the oven or baste or use a bag either.

This is what I am using:

OvenStuff Non-Stick 17.2 Inch x 12.7 Inch x 2.7 Inch Large Roasting Pan with Rack
