This will be my 5th year cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Last year everyone came to my house and seemed to really enjoy the dinner. I always cook it in a roasting pan with extra juice and veggies. This year I'm cooking it at my mother's house and she seems to be upset that I'm not using a bag. So I'm just wondering which you ladies prefer.

Same here! Do you use a lid?
Quoting HungarianQueen:Roasting pan. I like to drizzle the juices on it throughout and add spices.
We fry ours but I prefer the turkeys cooked in bags over those just done in the roasting pan.Seems to come out much more moist!
I not cooking this year(i never cook lol),but i know my mom is using bags for her turkey.
Not cooking this year, but last year we brined AND used a bag. It was awesome.
I have a 22 qt roaster that I do it in. That frees up my oven for everything else

I was thinking the same thing,I fogot to buy bags when I got my roasting pan and now I'm dead flppin pizzas broke so it looks like I'll just be using the pan.Glad to see I'm not the only one who won't be using the bags.
