I have a problem. I hate my computer.

Today, I imported some pictures onto my computer from my camera's memory card, like I always do. After I import my pictures, they are always erased from the memory card. Well, I had a movie on there I was trying to find. I clicked out of windows picture viewer to try to find the movies. Well, when I came back to look at the pictures they were gone. Every single picture I have ever taken and put on this computer are gone.

They aren't in the recycle bin so I don't think they are completely gone. The folders that all the pictures were in are still there... just no pictures inside of them.

Has this happened to anyone? And if so... how did you find the pictures again?

I don't know either.. I hope someone can figure it out. Did you try to do a search for the file names?

Yes, click 'search' or 'find' and type in one of the picture names.  They may have gone to a temporary folder.

I typed in the name I tagged the pictures with but something else is popping up (pictures I imported after everything went missing to see where they were saved)

It's so weird, they all just vanished.

I even searched every .jpg I have on the computer and nothing is there, except for window images.

 Computer gods... I need you!

Say I accidently deleted them or something.... is there a way to go about finding them and restoring them all? (recycle bin is empty though, nothing is in there)

Do a system restore to yesterday (or whenever it was before you put the pictures on).

I never made a backup =(

I mean, eeven for the new pictures... I seriously had them on the computer for maybe 5 minutes. I wasn't even finished flipping them the right side up yet.

Most computers automatically created a backup every 7 days or so. You may have to do a system restore to the last automatic back up.
