Last night, I watched two episodes of a show called, "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant", on the Discovery Health Channel. Apparently, it is an entire series. It features women who go through an entire pregnancy and have no idea that they are pregnant until they go into labor or give birth.
On one of the episodes that a saw, this woman had a baby in the freakin toilet because she just thought that she had to have a bowel movement. Now, I am not saying that this can't happen, but I didn't think that it was possible to go through an entire pregnancy without knowing that you were pregnant until you give birth.....and I really didn't think that it happens often enough to make an entire television show about it! LOL.
So, do you know anyone who this has happened to? I couldn't HIDE the fact that I was pregnant after the first 12 weeks. I have always shown pretty early, which kind of stinks too because I always feel like I have been pregnant for a year by the time the baby comes. LOL.
I didn't know I was pregnant until I was 34 weeks.
HOWEVER, with my second I knew I was at about 4 weeks.

I fully believe it can happen. Some women do not feel the movements as well as others. And some women do not show as early as others. I am 5'10" and long waisted. With my first child I wore nothing but my regular clothing until thanksgiving when I finally had a pooch. She was born 2 weeks late on 01/18. My aunt who lived next door and saw me every day did not even know I was pregnant until December. My mom would not let me tell her because I was only 16.

Quoting linnet4:
I'm right there with you.. How is that even possible?? how come women don't notice?? Are they so out of tune with their bodies and they don't notice the changes?? crazy I know.
Not every pregnancy is the same and different women have different circumstances.
My aunt didn't know she was pregnant until around 30 weeks! She was 33, had always had irregular periods and was on birth control. She had lost around 50 lbs. and couldn't lose anymore. Her belly felt "hard"...she went to the doctor thinking she was sick and had a tumor. The tumor was my now-14-year-old cousin! Baby came out healthy even with my aunt's dieting, smoking, and no prenatal care until the 7th month!
Wow! So I guess that it happens a lot more than I thought! What a surprise that has got to be! LOL.
