Like all one color ornaments or a certain type? With me our tree is very special because it has ornaments from my childhood and from when  my kids kids where little. We have a tradition every year where I get the kids a new ornament based on what they are into that year. So we have all sorts of ornaments on our tree that are very special to me.  It isn't tacky or anything and it holds so many many memories. This year we will be putting a key to our very first home on it :-). I forgot to add I have a second in my kitchen with just kitchen type stuff on it, sooooo cute :-)

Our tree is red, white, and silver.  My dh says that we will eventually need to change it once we start getting homemade ornaments from the kids.  I'm not so sure.....I love my tree! lol  I might just have to get a second tree.  : )

My theme this year:

"Small Glass Ornaments the Cat Will Enjoy Breaking"

We have the glass balls (red green and silver) and then white lights.

But dd, my husband & I all pick out an ornament each year. so far we have 6 ornaments & the glass balls lol.

I used to have all kinds of glass and ceramic ornaments, ribbons and bows etc. and our tree was beautiful. Now we have a Charlie brown tree with mostly plastic cheapie shit because we have three cats who have managed to climb the tree and knock everything off over and over until they all ended up broken. I don't really care anymore as I'm resigned to having a crappy tree now and the cats are so happy in it that I can't help but feel happy too.

This year we had to buy a new tree and all new ornaments. Last year when I was putting all the stuff up I threw everything in the attic and broke all the ornaments! lmao! I did have the disney collection and I broke em all! lmao!

anyway, Ill probably start a collection for every year for my daughter. This is her first christmas so We'll start that this year.

As for the Theme its all blue and white. Except the lights. Here's our tree and lights outside. Call me crazy but I even have my nails blue and white and silver. I will until Christmas is over!

Our  "theme" is last ornament standing. Between my son and my niece taking the ornaments off and collecting them we're lucky to be able to get them on there as fast as they take them off.  Last year the bottom half of the tree was just lights because they had took everything off. We have the tree tied to the wall so it doesn't tip and we kept anything breakable off of it but the poor thing is in a month long battle.
Usually we just have a collection of ornaments that we've gotten over the years. My mom tried the just one color theme and it didn't look right to us.
