I rented a rug doctor to clean my carpets and its not working. I even pretreated the carpets, but the stains are still there! I am not sure how to get them out! I rented this thinking it would work. Does anyone have any experince with rug doctors or how to clean carpets so I no longer have stains. I have koolaid stains, ink pad stains, and then stains from my dogs.
Does anyone have any advice?
I have gotten out every stain immaginable with Woolite Pet Stain Remover. I mean every stain. Give it a try its like $3 at Wal mart.
I AM A SAHM OF 2 WONDERFUL CHILDREN. LOVING WIFE OF 2 YEARS. I BREASTFED SWITCHED TO FORMULA WITH BOTH OF MY CHILDREN. I BELIEVE IN CRYING IT OUT AFTER 2 MONTHS OLD, SPANKINGS WHEN NEEDED, I LET MY FAMILY EAT JUNK FOOD IF THEY WANT IT, GAVE MY DD'S WHOLE HALLOWEEN, AND EASTER BASKET TO HER TILL THE CANDY WAS GONE. I AM A SMOKER TRYING TO QUIT, DRINK ON OCCASION, LOVE TO COOK, MY HOME IS ALWAYS CLEAN "IF" SOME ONE SHOWS UP, NEVER LATE TO ANYTHING KIND OF MOMMY AND WIFE. ITS JUST WHO I AM.
Use as HOT of water as possible and just keep going over it. The Kool-Aid and ink is probably not going to come out, especially depending on the color Kool-Aid. The pet stains may take a few passes, but they should. If it's not taking ANY stains out and the water is clear, it's not working or you filled up the wrong tank. (you're supposed to fill the bottom one. Don't be offended, more people than you think fill the wrong tank then get peaved)
What kind of detergent are you using?

Not offended at all, I double checked and I did fill the bottom one. I am using the woolite oxy deep for the pre cleaner and for the actual detergent I opted for the Walmart brand Pet Remover! My sister uses it and loves it and it was 7 dollars less, is that the problem, did I use the wrong stuff?? Will try HOT water this time!
there is this stuff at Petsmart called Natures Miracle....I have used it to get out make up, blood, pet stains, oil/grease stains, grass stains...that stuff works every time
~It only hurts when I'm breathing, my heart only breaks when it's beating, my dreams only die when I'm dreaming. So I hold my breath to forget.~
Try HOT HOT, with the cheaper detergent. If that doesn't work, I would try a different detergent.
I tried the cheap stuff once. I did my whole house and two days later, it smelled like a wet dog instead of just a dirty dog. It was horrible and I had to rent the rug doctor AGAIN to fix it. In the long run, by saving that little money, I cost myself $40. I'm not saying all cheaper detergents are bad, I just don't have the patience to find one that works as well as the rug doctor stuff does. Also, you can add a little vinegar to the water to make it not smell like animals as much. Hydrogen Peroxide also helps to break down the urine.
I end up doing my carpets 3-4 times a year. I have a two year old, a dog, and an old grumpy cat who peed so much in the nursery, we had to put in hardwood floors. Not to mention, a SO who spills coffee on our living room carpet once a month.
Good luck!
ETA- I see you have a GSD, too! Now I know why you're cleaning them! lol Beautiful dogs, but they can STINK! It must be the long hair and getting stuff in it, then rolling on the floors. It seems like no matter how much we give Lincoln a bath, he still smells like dog.

Thank You so much! I refilled with HOT as HOT as I could Water and the ink pad came right up! As for the Koolaid I am still trying! I have my sisters old carpet cleaner and finally gave up on it and rented a rug doctor. I am just sick of the carpets being disgusting!!
Yup I do have a german shepard, up until two months ago I had two and they were both indoor dogs. We had to get rid of Jasmine because her and Pepper began to fight, big dominance issues. Also the dog smell, i know where your coming from. Pepper has sensitive skin and the oils on german shepards react with water or something. Well needless to say she gets bathed not as often as I like. I read somewhere that twice a year is all you should bathe them. But about once a month she gets one during the summer! In the winter I don't fight with her! I won't bathe her inside and I live where it gets cold so outside is not an option!
Again, Thank you so much for the help on the carpet!
I forgot about kids and pets, but it takes alot and it gets expensive! I did find a trick by accident. I left the white part off cuz i forgot where the dirty water drains into and it left the carpet soapier(not a word, I know) so I could scrub it! Koolaid is fading, YEah!
