A Thanksgiving Thought...

The last three days I have had the privilege to be a detail escorting the family of MAJ Librado Caraveo from the aiport to their lodgings and last night to his wake.  For those of you who don't know, he was one of the soldiers killed at Ft. Hood in vain by a coward.  His family were lovely people, and I truly felt their sorrow just being near them.  I would like everyone to truly enjoy their little ones and their spouses and mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers during these holidays, whichever one you and your family celebrate.  Every one of those soldiers killed was someone's family, so lets REALLY enjoy our families this holiday season!  That's all!

agreed. My sister made a good point today...

People put so much emphasis on the food.. freaking out because "we dont have enough money for thanksgiving"... but its really about being thankful for what you got... food on the table (no matter what it is), people to spend it with (family, friends, or even watching people on tv), and a house to spend it in.

Bless all our soldiers here at Hood, stationed across the US, and stationed/deployed overseas.

So true.  We take things for granted and are materialistic when we have so much to be thankful for.
