we are having thanksgiving dinner at my parents tomorrow and about 25 people are going. well this year my dad wants to fry the turkey. we have never done that EVER! i usually make the turkey (my mom stinks at it) well this year i think i put everything out of order. i am 33 weeks pregnant and dont feel like making turkey, mashed potatoes mac n cheese and pie for 25+ people. so i told my mom i would make rolls, pie and fried apples. well no one told me my aunt only takes rolls so she is making enchiladas! that is not a thanksgiving food. then my brother was going to make the mac n cheese (my recipe) but one of my other aunts said she would make it. i dont trust her cooking and i think we will end up with boxed mac and not enough for every one. then some one might take tamales. who in the world is taking the green beans and corn? we are also still missing the lima beans. all this does not make me a happy camper!!
It's funny that you say enchiladas are not "regular" Thanksgiving foods (which, I agree with you) because I don't think mac & cheese or lima beans are "regular" Thanksgiving foods.....I guess everyone eats different things for Thanksgiving.
Oh--fried Turkey is amazing! I've had it once in my life, and I loved it! I wish we had a turkey fryer....

you are too cute. don't worry im sure dinner will still be amazing. if you are missing the food that you want then i suggest making it for next week. a little after thanksgiving day treat for you. lol. best of luck mama. happy turkey day.
Relax and go with the flow..Letting someone else take over for once isn't a bad thing...Enjoy the day and ...if you aren't real happy...next year have it at your house your way...Blessed Be

I am going to chalk this up to alot of pregnancy hormones since you are too young to be so set in your ways. LOL. Just go with the flow and see how things turn out this year. If things dont go very well, then ask everyone to go back to what you consider normal holiday dinners.
