How many of you watch your child(ren) 24/7? I put a poll so everybody can be honest. Thanks
I am not trying to judge, I am just curious.
alot obviously will depend on the age of the child.. i have a 4 and 5 year old.. with them i check every 10 minutes and depending on the activity. ( say watching a movie then a half hour or as needed) Now my nephew i care for during school hours, constantly. .he isn't out of my sight :) He is 12 months
I put every 10-20 minutes because it is impossible to have them in your sights 24/7. I do go to the bathroom by myself you know. lol My son is three and yes he plays by himself in his room sometimes, but I always peak in every so often when he is alone. Most of the time though, I am with him playing or in the same room. Each day is different so it just depends.
My kids are 5 and 3. They can be independent, but they also love to fight and tear up the house. It's actually quite amazing how much damage they can do in 10 minutes when they work together. Needless to say, housework often falls by the wayside because all I do is go from one room to the next cleaning up whatever disaster they've left behind. They are stinkers, but I love 'em!! :D
Ditto here. My son is 3 and my daughter 1 1/2. If they are playing in my son's room quietly I check ever so often but if they are hootin and hollarin then it is more often to make sure they aren't doing acrobatics from the ceiling trying to kill themselves. LOL

I can't vote, because nothing matches with what I do. I have about three 30 minute periods a day where I watch them very limited. When I do chores, when I shower and clean the bathroom and when I cook lunch. Other than that, I do not WATCH them, I do stuff with them. Which causes me to be with them and supervise them, but my intend is not to watch them, it is to do stuff with them.
My son is 26 months and is starting to be a little less clingy. He used to be right by my side constantly. i couldn't even go into the bathroom without him. But now he's becoming a little more independent and he likes to play in his room for 20-30 minutes and he HAS to have the door closed cause he gets embarrassed if we catch him playing sometimes. lol. It's cute. I check on him every so often, depends on what sounds are coming out of his room. lol. But other than that he's always in the same room as me.
I put 10-20 min, but it's def more than that but less than 24/7....no one can have their eyes on their kids every second of every day.
My kids are little, my oldest isn't even 3 and my DD is 16mo....so they require a lot of watching. If I didn't there would be trouble.
