Ok so I guess since I miss most of these posts I will ask so sorry for the redundance.  What are all your stances on bf in public. Now I personaly have no problems with those who bf and are descreet about it. Cover up so that there tata's are not hanging out to the public. I once new a women who just fed her kid where ever when ever. Restraunts, stores she did not care. Today my tenant came home and he happened to do work at her house today through his company and he said that as soon as he entered the house to let her know that he was there and what he needed to do she sat down and wipped out her boob to feed the baby then let her kids run wild out side while he sprayed chemical on the house (this is a whole nother story). Now I relize that that is not public but if that had been a stranger and this goes for doing it in public especialy or a sex preditor seeing her infant nurse on her exsposed boob she puts herself and children in danger. This just really bothers me so......

For those who do bf in public are you discreet or do you not care?

I'm very discreet...well when he was little...Now that he is 18 months and 47 pounds I just dont nurse him in public...mainly b/c he doesnt nurse much during the day anyways, but ya...I'm a descreet nurser

I am a 24 year old SAHM of 2 beautiful kids that are the light of my life and my reason for living! I've found the love of my life and we have made a beautiful home together. I'm starting college and am working toward an RN degree...Life is perfect!

Discreet... I rarely use a cover, but I don't whip anything out (LOL) and make sure my stuff isn't showing. I use a nursing tank under a shirt and between the two and the baby I'm covered. That being said, Kalila doesn't nurse in public hardly ever now... and prob won't again even since she's so close to weaning. I will be in that position again soon enough though!

My problem with this whole story isn't really that she whipped it out though (it is her house) but... Kids running around while it's being sprayed.  I'm sorry but no... I would have them out of the house (as would I be) until he was not only gone but the place had aired out.

I don't care if they're discreet or not. Our society uses breasts to sell everything from cheeseburgers to cars, but suddenly we're all prudes about them being used for the purpose intended? And I'm so sick of the "my husband/child/dog might see a boob" discussion- here's the newsflash, if you own a television or drive down a street or open a magazine, chances are they're going to see one anyway, and it won't be in the functional god intended sort of way, lol....

It doesn't bother me in the least.  I personally wont whip my boob out for the world to see because I am not comfortable with it.  I don't care what other women chose to do though.  I have seen tons of titties in my life and seeing one for a moment before a baby starts eating is not going to cause me to go gay.  Or make my eyes fall out.  Or cause my husband to cheat on me.  Or even make me take a second look.  People need to get over it.

Point taken... It doesn't bother me to see that either, but she asked if we are discreet... I am. I dont care about seeing others, but I don't want mine out there lol. Now if an accident happens I'm not gonna flip out either.

I'm not a fan, but if you do have to do it in public, I vote discreetly.

OH no see that is why I said that was a different story he was spraying the outside of the house and he said the kids were out there right ontop of him watching and getting in the way. He ended up having her middle daughter walk right in to the stream of chemical because she wanted to watch.

WA-HOO!! lol

what's funny is the only people who ever had a problem with me NIP were women. I never saw a man bat an eyelash. I used to BF my youngest two right in front of my BIL while he easily held a conversation with me, no wandering eyes ever lol. My DF feels the same way.

My ex husband used to ask me to go nurse in the bedroom when he was having friends over because they might be uncomfortable..you can just imagine what i told him about that lol

I nurse without a cover.. most of the time people don't realize I'm nursing... and just think I'm holding my baby. I think that if you do have a huge cover.. it brings more attention to you.

" why does she have that thing over her?.. Oh... well she's nursing I get it now"  but i also think that it's personal preference. If you feel better with a cover then great! use one... if not, great! don't use one.  but many bfing moms don't let thier tata's hang out anyways and usually quickly latch and delatch, before anyone notices.
