My 3 kids and I were at Walmart earlier. We were leaving out of the garden center side and walking through the pedestrian crosswalk area. You know the big yellow area! Well I made sure nothing was coming and we headed across..this bitch turns in and is hauling ass and almost hit us. I stop as soon as I notice her speeding and not stopping and I was too far from the older kids to reach them as I was pushing my 2 year old in the shopping cart, so I yell at them to stop and they do. She barrels on past and I yelled at her that she could have stopped. THIS is the time she puts her damn brakes on stops the GMC Yukon rolls down her window and yells something about me getting my kids or something along those lines. I yelled back at her that pedestrians had the right-away bitch. I was so livid! She is supposed to yield to us! I know I shouldn't have cussed at her, but damn I just lost it. Those were my babies she almost hit. Thank God for watching out for us tonight. I could have easily lost my kids. Why are people so inconsiderate? I never speed through Walmart...there are too many people around! Sorry just had to Vent!

Wow 12 views and some were mine! lol Guess b/c it wasn't a PA post, it wasn't worth the time. Oh well. Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Yikes...scary! Glad everyone is okay! How rude of HER to say anything to you..that's crazy. I probably would have sworn at her, too.
We recently moved to South Korea...and driving here is INSANE! It's common to run red lights, pull out quickly in front of others, instead of 4 way stops, they have 4 way YIELDS..so no one ever actually yields..they just drive real fast and hope to beat everyone else through the intersection. It took me 2 months for me to be brave enough to get my drivers license. It's scary...they teach little kids to just raise their arm out to cross traffic and cars will "stop" for them. I miss driving in the States..LOL
Glad everyone's ok :)
My dh's aunt and his cousin (20) were at Meijer one day. (Similar to walmart) His aunt is disabled and partially blind in her peripheral vision. She was putting the cart away and a car started to back out. She was directly behind the car when it started backing out--the guy collecting carts started yelling "LADY STOP" to the driver, but instead of stopping, she GUNNED THE GAS and knocked over dh's aunt AND the cart! Then, didn't even apologize and b/c it was in a parking lot and Michigan is a no fault state, NOTHING HAPPENED TO HER!! Dh's aunt had to go to the ER b/c she had blood leaking into her "bags". (She's on dialysis) They live on a SMALL income (less than $900/month!) and she had to pay a $250 copay at the er. The lady wasn't responsible AT ALL!! Isn't that crazy?!?
People are so selfish and do not think of others . I'm happy your kids are safe and I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving with your family . I'm Canadian our Thanksgiving is in October.
So sorry.
I always sit and wait at the walmart stop sign, sometimes I'm there a long time. In any parking lot you should be even more aware, there could be kids, or people in general, not paying attention. If I'm in a hurry, I will go the long way around and avoid the stop sign. It's not just walmart though, in CA, I don't know about other states, but you are supposed to wait if someones in the crosswalk until they are ALL THE WAY ACROSS, which I do but I get cars beeping their horns at me all the time. Sorry, I wait. I've seen kids crossing a crosswalk and cars go as soon as possible, what happens if a kid drops something and goes back to get it? The driver of the car hits the kid. Sorry, I'm not taking that chance.
Gosh, also had to share. At the grocery store today, I watched a younger women with a grocery cart run into an old lady in her walker and all the younger woman said was, "I'm sorry and hurried off." I was disgusted because she didn't even stop. The older woman was just standing off to the side by the meat.
You feel bad for cussing? Shit, people driving in the walmart parking lot are often asking for an ass beating. I am normally a very reasonable person but for some reason every time some jackass almost runs us over I feel like the incredible hulk. Good for you for not pulling her out of her gas guzzler & wiping the asphalt with her face.

That's crazy! I don't think I would ever be able to drive over there! My aunt lived in Okinawa and that's what the kids do there! Ummm..no I don't think so! lol
