Calling all Turkey experts.... Question for you!

I am brining my turkey tonight and I went to cut my turkey from the package and the wing is SEVERLY bruised.

Is it okay to still cook and just cut the wing off and discard after cooking?  MY dad says yes but I wanted to make sure.

YES, it's fine. Honestly, I don't care about wings, I just use them to make stock anyways. They aren't eaten.

Go ahead and cook as usual and just don't eat the bruised wing.
