How much was your Thanksgiving dinner?

Okay, I have seen a few posts over the past few days about how people can not afford Thanksgiving dinner.

So lets be HONEST here, how much was your Thanksgiving dinner out of your pocket/FS! As what you are cooking not what your taking to someone else house.....

My Turkey was 14.00

My two boxes of Mashed Potatoes 1.56

two cans of green beans 1.00 ( .50 each)

Eggs 1.47

Milk 3.47

Rolls 1.75

salad 2.75

Store bought Pies. 4.00 each, bought 3

12.00

That is what I bought to make our small thanksgiving dinner for 4. That is two adults and two small children that don't eat much to start with.

Everything else I already had so there was no need to buy anything else.

total 38.00

Not to bash or anything, but I think it's not anyone's business how much I spent on my Thanksgiving meal.

Turkey: 6.00, my husband found it on sale marked down from 18.00!

Pie: 6.00

We had everything else already.  A whole bag of potatoes, gravy, noodles and cheese for homemade mac n cheese, and we had 3 boxes of stuffing.  I might get some fresh veggies tomorrow, so that might add 5.00:)  So we will spend like 20 bucks:)  This is for 5 people actually 4, I guess I can't count my 7 month old lol, but my brother might count for 5 ha ha:)

Our Thanksgiving dinner is costing us $0.  I dont do any cooking on holidays.  We always go to families houses.  I always offer to bring something and am always told not to.

I have no clue how much I have spent.  If I had to guess I would say around $50 or so.

Free! We're going to my in-laws! We're taking her a centerpiece, candle, and taking my niece (in-laws have custody) to a movie to say thank you though....we eat out every night, so it's nice to have a homecooked meal a few times a year...especially a turkey dinner!
