Gamer dh & aggrivating kids??

 Is your dh a gamer?

Mine is playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. (hes hooked..lol)

anyway, he was trying to play earlier and the kids (11 & 12) kept aggrivating him while he was playing.

so, he cut it off, we watched tv, everybody was quiet for an hour and as soon as he cut his game back on, they were at it again.

i know its not only the kids.. but EVERY time dh turns this game on, his attitude SUCKS!!!

he gets pissed at the game, so nobody around him can even breathe for fear of pissing him off while hes playing the game.

Anybody elses act like that?

Yep, my DH would get like that.  Almost ended our marriage.  He no longer plays.. he realized it and quit.  We're MUCH happier now!

Oh I played too (a different game than your DH, but same issue), but I was able to control myself :P  I quit when he did.

Yes, ever since Modern Wafare 2 came out. He even waited in line for it to come out at Midnight. He is playing as we speak. He plays to the online and gets pissed sometimes. And he tells me stuff that happens like "nooks" whatever that is and I just listen as if I care. lol.

Hubby and son are both gamers- so no its not an issue for me. They get to do what they want and i get to do what I want.

the kids are gamers too, BUT while dh is playing this game, they like to watch and try to tell him where people are, what he should do and it pisses dh off even more. lol

A couple years ago DH was addicted to a computer game called Diablo. Yeah it was completely evil and just plain horrible. I swear the second he turned that game on it was like he was a different person, like you said every little thing just pissed him off. It was horrible! Thank God we agreed no more "bad" games like that!

DH is a gamer..and is currently into the same game...DD is staying at Grandmas house tonight and he has been playing for I'd say 75% of the time sicne she has left.  Usually he waits until after she is in bed...it is still an aggravating situation, so I hear ya!

Oh, god yes.  I have threatened to take sledgehammers to the damn things (PS2 and computer).  He gets SO pissy about them.  I don't understand it.  I have tried to tell him it's an addiction but he just gets mad at me.  He just sits in his chair and plays it from the time he gets up until he goes to bed (on days off) and every free moment (on work days).

He really bothers me when he gets annoyed because he has to stop and take care of the kids.
