Ok, I offered to send a mom some hand me down clothes because she said her son needed clothes. I offered to pay for the shipping and everything.
Not too long after, I saw her slamming a lifestyle that I fit into. She basically said "Moms that ____ are worthless!" , but in many more words.
After that, I didn't feel very inclined to give her a ton of clothes and waste a bunch of money that I really don't have on her. I could just give the clothes to someone that needs them locally.
Would you have felt the same way?
ETA: I went back and looked and it wasn't "worthless" that she was saying. It was "lazy". The post was a few weeks ago, so I was remembering wrong. Anyway, I was the 1st and 3rd responder. She responded later. So, I know she saw that my situation fit into that category. She went on about how women stay home and don't educate themselves and won't be able to take care of themselves without their husband and all of that. I offered her help. I felt insulted by what she said because I fit into that category. I am not lazy or uneducated. I am doing what is best for my family at the moment.
I might feel that way but if I offered them I would still send them.

I dont blame ya - so why are you worthless? LOL
btw anyone need a size 10.5 male dress shoe... i found them in my sons closet, worn onces...
I guess I should also add that I spoke up and said, "I fit that label." and she continued to put it down. This is after I had offered and she continued to say people like that are worthless after I responded.

But, if I am so worthless and she is not...it seems like she must not need my help right? Why would anyone accept help from a worthless person?
Quoting Dzyre1115:
You offer to help because you want to help. You certainly can't guarantee that you will agree with the life philosophies of every person you may touch with a donation. I probably still would have sent her the help!
Okay I seriously need to know this category now...

did she direct it towards you personally or generally?
I dont know how i would feel, but I doubt I would send them at my expense. I always donate all our old clothes to our local women and childrens shelters. And the ppl there are ALWAYS greatful and I get so many thanks and it makes me feel good.
Because I don't work and all of my kids are in school.
