My husband sold his horse about a month ago, they gave him a check to deposit on november 16th. Well it bounced, we are so pissed of right now!!!! We were sure that we had atleast 400 dollars in the bank with that check well NO!!!!!!!!!! Now we owe 500 dollars to the bank, what the hell are we supposed to do now? we were bearly doing better with our bills, and with christmas coming up god I am so frustrated right now!!!!!!!! Anyway, what can we do, hubs is going to the bank tomorrow and to their bank but other then that you guys think we can get them to pay the 500 dollars that we have to pay now? Well I learned 2 lessons, check the bank account daily and never trust people again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That happened to us a while ago, luckily it was my brother and he paid us back, but the bank would not work with me. I spent a day on the phone and got nowhere. I am sorry honey, that shit sucks big time!
You can file criminal charges, as check bouncing is actually illegal. Then take them to small claims court.

Oh totally forgot about tomorrow!!!!!!!!! they always charge our car insurance like the 22nd? and they kept charging us for the negative balance which is 37.50 everyday and plus 40.00 because the check bounced. We thought we had the money there so we didnt even check, I know we should of but didnt.

Next time you accept a check go to THEIR BANK!!! that way if theres no money in THEIR account you wont get charged for it.
