Crap!!

   My 13 yo DD was on my computer. She said something popped up and was scanning. I thought it must have been my AVG antivirus update but as i looked closer i seen it said "Virus pro" on it. I dont have virus pro on my computer. I think she must have accidentally clicked on one of those pop up adds that say " let us scan your computer for viruses".

   Well, this thing said i had so many viruses and to get them off i had to purchase their antivirus. I believe the damn thing loaded the viruses on there because when i tried to click off of it it wouldnt let me get off and the thing went hay wire!!

   So i tell my husband my computer was crashing. He said he would be back to look at it and he went upstairs. So i went to put a load of laundry in the washer and when i walked back into the living room i knew something bad had to be on my computer because my 10 year old DD was looking towards my computer with such a weird gaze on her face.

   When i went over to my computer there were images of naked women having sex with eachother!!! It said " down load for porns" on it. WOW!! i couldnt believe it.

That virus pro REALLY messed my computer up. It infected my current virus protection too and i cant even get on the Internet!!!

It was saying that my AVG was out of date but i cant even get on the internet to update it now!!

Uh oh.  I hope you have all of your important stuff backed up.  Sounds like you might have to format.  Unless you can run your antivirus and it can kill the virus that is but don't mess around too long.  Some viruses will destroy your hard drive!

yup my computer crashed a couple weeks ago it loaded some antivirus and it wanted me to purchase protection but it's a fake don't do it, but they actually hacked into my computer. They hacked into my email and were sending emails and texts to everyone in my email contacts. I had to save all my pictures .That thing exactly happened to my computer. We had to buy another hard drive..

The only thing i have on there thats important and not backed up is my homeschool tracker file we use to keep track of our homeschool progress. Thank goodness i have my pictures on a stick.

my husband tried to reboot the computer and do a back up but ididn't let him. Then he tried to restore and the computer crashed completely.

I never click on them. My DD did it by accident and feels horrible. She was all bent out of shape when the porn popped up. Poor thing was afraid. I had to calm her down.

Anytime anyting like that pops up on my pc, I shut off immediately. Then reboot while holding down the F8 key. Then when you get rebooted, got to uninstall, see if you can remove whatever it is. Then shut down again and reboot.

Try that, hope it helps.

Yeah we couldnt restore either.

If i leave it alone and not get on it till im able to get it fixed will it still ruin the hard drive?

Disconnect the internet and delete the corrupted files. The virus only works if connected to the internet. The virus you have looks for your personal information such as bank accounts and stuff like that. You can delete AVG then reload it when you get all the virus off.
