Awwww FUDGE!!!!!!!!!! and TURKEY!!!!!!(HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
ok, I'm making fudge as one of the desserts for our turkey day dinner(Well we're celebrating it tomorrow). I got the "Jet-puffed marshmallow creme.
I got the recipe for the chocolate fudge, but it's been a while since I made the peanut butter fudge. Does anyone know how much peanut butter you use in fudge? and it "peanut butter" one word(peanutbutter) or two words?(peanut butter)
And which brings me to my next question....
I bought "jennie-o" turkey. The gravy pack has a tear in it thus making the packet unuseable(I already called the hotline, my turkey is still ok to use and they're sending me a coupon for a free turkey(Yay, me!).
Well here's the question...
I;ve been thawing the damn thing out in the fridge according to the package instructions for THREE DAYS!!! And the damn thing is still FROZEN!~ How long will it take to "thaw" in a sink full of cold water? and how often do I need to change the water?(I'm not like talking leaving it in the water for days or anything, I just read somewhere the water is supposed to be changed every X amount of time.
It's approx 20#'s
and what the hell do I do with the "weird organ parts" that come inside in a bag thing? Cook them and give them to the dog? throw them down the garbage disposal, put them out for the "dumpster kitty" I feed every once in a while? And if so, do I give them the organ part thingys cooked? raw? How do I cook them?
HELP!
lol wow rough morning much haha i'm sorry no trying to be mean i feel for you but anyways i'm not sure about the peanut butter fudge my mom handles that lol peanut butter is two words like i typed it lol i can't believe your turkey is still frozen if you've had it out all that time so i havent a clue there either maybe some one else will and as far as organs go some people just boil them and then feed them to the dog so try that also so dogs eat it raw so you can decide and again goodluck
PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE - EASIEST RECIPE- I just looked it up goodluck
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 1/4 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
Directions
- Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar and milk. Bring to a boil and boil for 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla. Pour over confectioners' sugar in a large mixing bowl. Beat until smooth; pour into an 8x8 inch dish. Chill until firm and cut into squares.
Hi don't know anything about fudge, but change your turkey water every 45 minutes, you want the water to be cold thats what help thaw the turkey and the weird organ parts, I through them away, no one in my family likes them.. If you feed them to critters, cook them first. Don't give them the neck it has bones in it... Good luck and have a nice Thanksgiving....

Thanks ladies!
Aww dang, I don't have any confectioners sugar. WTH is confectioners sugar anyway(I don't spend a lot of time in the kitchen) My poor son is destined to a life of "instanty-stuff".lol
What the heck should I do with the other jar of "jet puffed marshmallow creme"(I got it at wal mart for $.75 brand name!)
Why do they put neck bones in the turkey? I mean who the hell eats this stuff? And why oh why do they put the organs in the turkey too? I think they do it so they can charge more for the added weight!

powdered sugar lol i had to ask my mom the other day i felt like a idiot lol so don't feel bad i guess we all have to ask one time or another
