Are you referring to that school starts so early in the DAY? Or that school starts so early in a child's life?

School starts so early in the day because there is so much to learn and do. My daughter starts her schoolday at 7:30.

School starts so early in a child's life for the same reason, there is so much to learn! We are firm believers in a strong academic foundation, so are very much in favor of preschool.

I am a Private School sending, Vaccinating, Non spanking, Nightmare Cuddling, Dessert Giving, Homework Helping, Bedtime Kissing, Book Reading, Academic pushing Mum. I believe in the benefit of organized after school activities. I believe in spoiling my children. I believe that I have seen the village and I do not want it raising my child - I will do that, Thank You. I believe that a woman's place is in the home taking care of her house, children and husband. I am submissive and proud, my husband is head of my home. I am a proud, traditional Roman Catholic, as is my husband... Yes we are teaching our daughter that The Church is the only Church.               Aimee

I wake at 5 every morning. I wake my 8 year old daughter at 5:30. I wake half an hour before her or my infant son... I do that so that I can get some caffeine in my system, splash my face, brush my teeth, and check my e-mail. By the time I finish those things, I am fully awake. Your body will adjust, so will the childrens'.

My DD has been to 2 different schools, this one starts at 8 and the other started at 9. Of course, the one that started later, they were at school later. With all the homework and things that need to be done in the evening, I would much rather it start early!

IDK I am fine with it.  Our HS's start at 7am-most Elementary are 8.25, and middle school is 9.45 am-but they dont get out of school until 4.30 or later-that i hate compared the the elementary and HS I guess because I am a morning person.
