I have a question for you =) I probably could have PMed you but Maybe someone else would be interested too lol
Ok so here in America we have all kinds of people and religions and whatnot. You have people that are not religious at all.
Is there that much diversity in your husband's country? Are there women there who don't cover at all or who show themselves off? Are they frowned upon? Do they have places like "gentleman's clubs" that we have here?
Ok I was just wondering =)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Good question. & if a woman doesn't want to be covered, is she then punished? Also, I know a lot of Muslims and a couple who are my husband's family. They are 5% ers? Do you know what I mean? Like they go around preaching stuff, but still smoke weed & have numerous women, baby mommas, what have you. I thought Muslims weren't supposed to look twice at a woman, if she's not their wife. I imagine its like any other religion and you have people that claim to be "holy" and are really just creepos.
My husband is from Palestine, so it is a mix of Muslim, Christian and Jewish.
Some Muslim and some Jewish cover, some don't. DH's town is country (he calls himself a Palestinian redneck, lol) and very traditional, so the majority do cover. In the city it is the minority.
I am sure there are gentlemens clubs, but they are very very very frowned upon!
In some countries, it is like that unfortunatly. But Egypt, Jordam, Lebanon, Palestine, and others are diverse,
The Quran says for women to cover their adornments. That leaves it up to individual interpretation.
I know many people like your DH's family! Doing everything but eat pork, lol.
