mama's who suffer from depression and or anxiety... Please help!
Let me first say Happy Thanksgiving Ladies! Hope all of you are having a wonderful turkey day!
Alot of you have kind of kept track of whats been going on with my accident and my pregnancy. Review again... June 1st I was in a bad car accident. October 22 i lost my son full term in to my pregnancy.
So for about a week or so i'd say I have been having a really hard time sleeping. I will fall asleep around 10 or 11 or so and wake up at like 2-3 4 if i am lucky. Thats if i am lucky 3-4 hours of sleep. I will not relax. My eyes don't want to stay shut. Like if I close them I can just feel them totaly active in there.. LOL sounds stupid. I am tired... but I just can't relax enough to sleep. Well last night I got a really upset stomach to the point where I almost threw up. and then I woke up this morning and felt the same way.
I have been with out a car (total lose of independance) and money has been super tight over here... its been really tough over here.
I know that I very well maybe going through some type of depression. But about the restlessness at night?? Could that be anxiety and can depression cause anxiety???
Since the start of all this I have had these really weird headaches almost. They start in my eyes and goes right above my eyebrows... Have any of you have this? What did you do to treat it?? Becuase nothing is working. I am so exhausted but can't sleep because just feel like i have to go a million miles an hour and can't relax. Feel like im going crazy. I have been really worried aobut this and I don't know if thats just making it worse. I was given ambien at the beginning right after my accident but I didn't want to take ti because I was pregnant. I don't even know quite honestly why they would even prescribe that to me while I am pregnant but I still have it... Should I try taking it and see how it goes??? Any advice ladies would be great! Thank you ladies...
Again sorry for being mrs. debbie downer on this wonderful turkey day but I need some kind of peace of mind to get through today... SO any helpful tips and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Happy Holidays ladies and wishing you all the very best Turkey Day! Stay Safe!
Nicole
yeah those sound like stress headaches...
it may sound strange but you might want to look into meditation, learning how to calm yourself is one of the hardest but most useful things you can learn...
I'm sorry you are going through all this, I hope things get better for you

Anxiety and depression can walk hand-in-hand so I most definitely think that your symptoms are a mix of both. I would talk to your doctor, tell him/her everything you've been feeling and thinking. Right now I'm trying Zoloft, but it isn't really the pill for me, so I'm going to ask if I can try something else. Anxiety and depression meds are a trial and error thing, just keep trying new things until you find the pill that fits you. Ask for other natural things you can try too like teas, herbs, deep breathing, light therapy, walking etc. Good luck to you!! Most importantly, don't try to help yourself without talking to a doctor 1st, especially if you're pregnant.

First of all I want to say I am so sorry for your loss. No one should have to go through all of that. As far as taking the ambien, a part of me says the doctor prescribed it to you so there shouldn't be any harm in taking it and trying but the other part of me thinks maybe you should talk to your doctor first before trying it. I definitely think that could be depression or anxiety. I know I suffer from anxiety bad! I will either not be able to sleep, not relax, or I wake up constantly. I will find it hard to breathe sometimes and even get so upset/worried that I will start to feel sick to my stomach. Its just something I've learned to deal with because I am too scared to take anxiety medication. I've gone through depression too but that was after having my daughter and they gave me zoloft which helped a lot!
I'd say, you definitely need to call the doctors office the first chance you get and talk to him/her about it. If there is something they can do to help you need to do it. Whether it's prescribing something or referring you to a therapist, you need to try something. The less sleep you get the worse you are going to feel.
Good luck and you can add me if you like and/or ever need to talk, sometimes that helps too. :)

but if you're feeling like this don't take ambien to sleep, ask your doctor for a different sleeping pill, ambien can make you worse off than before

well atavan can be really helpful for anxiety- it's addicting so you have to taper down when you get off of it but it can really help with quieting down those loud and hurtful thoughts....
