potty training-3 day method: help, advice, and support wanted! (PIOG)

Morning, ladies :~)

I'm about to "officially" potty train my DD. A little backround--she just turned 2. She has been going on the potty regularly for a few months now. I just want to give her the last final push into panties. Since I'm a single mama who works full time, I really don't want to drag this out. She's ready--except for at daycare. When she's home with me, papi, or her Mimi (5 days of the week) she tells us right as she's going. When she's at school, she tells them immediately AFter. But she won't approach them to tell them she has to go. I feel she's ready because she tells me as she's going ("uh-oh mama. Pee-pee diaper." or "mama, pee pee potty."), she can't stand being wet, and she loves her potty time!

I'm just worried about the daycare part. I feel that is what is holding us back. I really feel the 3 day method will work for us (basically put the child in panties, and bring them to the potty regularly. Supposedly this method teaches the child to recognize when the bladder is full--that sensation immediately before urine is running down their legs lol) and I'm hoping it will be the push she needs to start telling her teachers at daycare that she has to go.

She's also having a hard time continually pooping in the potty. She tells me right before she has to poop, and we get to the potty quickly. She'll sit and push and push, but after 5 minutes and nothing coming out, she tells me all done. She then proceeds to poop in her diaper about an hour later. I feel she's waiting for the diaper to be on before she finishes. If we catch her in the middle of a poop, she'll usually push the rest into the potty, but just can't seem to start it.

I'm so nervous though! Everyone I have talked to has used this method with great success. But what if it doesn't work? What if she has a million accidents at school but not at home? What if she regresses? She still wets at night--I don't want to confuse her by putting her in diapers at night but I don't want accidents every night.

I've never done this potty training bit before--any advice or support is more than welcome

eta: We're starting tomorrow. I have an extended holiday weekend (4 days! Woot!) so this is the perfect time for us to do this.

how long has she been at the center/with the teachers? she might just be too shy. it took my son about 9 months to get comfortable with his teachers/classmates enough to just PLAY with them. he was  3 years old at the time. maybe she's afraid of the bathroom's at the center. i know my son got a kick outta them being so small. lol

a lot of parents will uses pull ups at night- because of that reason. the child knows when they are awake, but when sleeping- the body goes into shut down mode and it doesnt wake the child up when they gotta go. its very normal. i say continue to wear diapers/pull ups at night and during the day, use panties. maybe you can also explain to her that she has to start wearing panties at school so she HAS to tell the teachers when she's gotta go. maybe even make up a code signal for it- like she puts both hands on her head or something.

other than that- i have no idea. here's a bump.

good luck mama.
