My older sister went into labor yesterday at 5:00pm. Her water broke at 5:30pm. She got down to the hospital and I was right behind her. She seen my son being born so i wanted to be there for her when she had her second son.
She started pushing at 9:17pm and my nephew was born at 9:22pm
I saw the whole thing. It is so amazing what our bodies can do.
I have been there laying in the bed twice having my own kids but never actually seen a birth.
What a great thing. Only thing I dont understand is how my husband is not traumatized and can still have sex with me haha.
Anyways my nephew is 7lbs 8oz. 20 1/2 in long. I just had my daughter 3 months ago and currently she weighs 8lbs 9oz 21 in long so her cousin is around the same size and they will be the best of friends!
Just wanted to share my news with everyone!
Thank you. Women are amazing hehe. We carry a baby for 9 months and then go through delivery. Its wonderful what we can do

That is wonderful! Congrats.
Congrats!! My 3 month old son is like 18 pounds. You must have had a small baby!!
aww congrats! I've never been present for a birth. My SIL is due with my niece in March and I'll be there when she's born..I'm pretty excited. SIL was present for my daughters birth.
Do you have a special bond with him? My sister has another son who is 13 months. I did not get to see his birth unfortunately. But I feel I may have a stronger connection with this nephew because I seen him come into this world.

I agree with you. I saw my nephew born. I found it really amazing. He is now 12 years old.
Congradulations. My friend just had a little girl Tuesday but becuase of the flu they are only letting the support person in with them and that was her husband. I don't know that I would want to be there any way maybe for a sister like you but I don't know about friends. My sister is a long way from having kids lol. Congrats again.
My daughter was 4lbs 13oz when she was born. She ended up getting sick and having the swine flu so her weight gain has been slow.
