Five year's ago today, my friends and I were very exhausted. Having to get up at 2am for a 3am rehearsal, after having little sleep the day before. We'd had two day's of tours and sight seeing, and going to all the "famous" places! Five years ago today, I was marching into herald square, adrenaline overcoming my exhaustion. Excitement easing my aching feet. Five years ago today I marched in the Macy's thanksgiving day parade with my marching band! Looking back, I have some wonderful memories with my friends that I will never forget. It was the fall of my senior year, and I still couldn't believe that I had been given this chance. Life was so simple back then! But now, as I watch the parade, I can't wait to tell my kids that their mom marched in it! I remember that we were the first band, and that the damn clowns nearly prevented us from hitting our spots to start our performance. I'm so thankful for that experience, and I always will be! While I don't have photos of the parade on this photo I do have some in NYC!
Happy Thanksgiving cafemom!
Going to local radio stations to promote fundraising to get us there (i'm the girl in the front right part of the photo)
