The bad thing about giving birth

is the hair loss in the weeks afterwards!  Good lord, someone who didn't know would think I was going bald by the amount of hair that comes out during the shower and when I blowdry my hair.

Sheesh...it's enough to make me consider going back on prenatals!

One thing I don't like is the loss of some bladder control! Everytime I sneezed or coughed or laughed I peed a little bit or farted lol! Good thing for those ultra thick pads so I didn't have to worry about changing my panties . . . !

The world is absurd, and beautiful, and small.

It's happened to me after each kid.  I mean, I get the normal shedding but whoo...I hadn't washed my hair in a couple of days and I clogged up the drain this morning.  And then had quite a bit on the floor after blowdrying.

I'm not too concerned though.

Yea, I know some women who are still on them three years after giving birth to their last child.  Only recently did I learn that prenatals were OTC.

Mine doesn't start falling out until about 3 months post partum.  I still have thin spots from my son and am about six weeks away from starting the shed after my daughter's birth.  I'm scared to see what my head's gonna look like!  Prenatals didn't help at all.  Massages with safflower oil didn't help.  Making sure my thyroid meds were correctly balanced didn't help (thyroid imbalance can worsen hair loss).  The shed lasts about three or four months for me.  UGH

It's very normal due to the change in hormones.  That's also why a lot of newborns who are born with a head full of hair end up bald by 2-3 months old.  It's due to the drop in estrogen.  It lasted for me until about 8 months post-partum.  It's a good idea to take prenatals anyway especially if you are breastfeeding.  I plan on continuing to take mine after birth.
