I just bought this sofa.

I am trying to decide what color to paint the walls in my new house to look the best with this sofa. :)  There are some examples on the website.

This is with the blue/grey walls:

This is with the white walls:

So, what looks better????  Or should I paint the walls something else, like beige or tan?

All the pillows come with it.  We actually got this from Raymour and Flanigan and I love it!  There is like a darker teal color in the pillows.  I was thinking of going to like a medium teal shade also.  What do you think?  Hahaha.  I'm so awful at decorating. LOL.  But I really want the family room to look nice.  Also, there is a gas fireplace with a white wood trim, kind of like what is in that one picture.

I would leave the fireplace white... do the molding white and the walls the light teal/blue... you could always do one wall as an accent wall in a deeper teal that is closer to the pillows... probably the wall that has the fireplace so it's not so open.... and won't over take the rest of the room....

That's a nice site!  Thanks!  I actually have a ton of Benjamin Moore paper examples.  I don't know what those are called.  I was just curious if any of you ladies have a preference on what might look nice.

oh... and you don't want to paint the room a similar color to your furniture... it won't do anything for the room or furniture. Accent colors open and brighten a room...

That might be a nice idea.  There is actually no other molding in the room.  At least not yet.  The house is new and still needs some details.  Maybe I could add white crown molding too. :)  I wish I had a pic of the actual room.  :(

I like the blue/grey idea.

Leave the molding around the windows (if there is molding around the insides of the windows) white Crown Molding where the ceiling meets the walls usually makes rooms look bigger and gives depth... especially if you paint the ceiling a different color than the walls... I always watch HGTV and it gives me a lot of great ideas.... I have yet to use any since I'm always in rentals that don't allow extreme colors on the walls....
