long term breast feeding??????

So I wanted to make it a little longer, but it is starting to drive me crazy, and even starting to hurt, but what do i do, I have been down to 1 nursing a day for a month or two, and it has been mornings, well were we use to lay in bed and her nurse, well now it hurts and there is so not able to go back to sleep  what and how would you do... she turned 2 on the 8th of this month, and it isnt even the wantng to stop, it is the hurling, and knowing it is going be very hard  on her, as she does look forward to it

if it bothers you and is hurting, chances are there are negative side effects on your daughter - you're short-tempered or impatient (maybe not, just a possibility).  follow your instincts.  you've certainly done more than most, so don't feel guilty.

It sounds like she's close to weaning to me.  My daughter knocked nursing down to once/twice per day for a couple months before she weaned.  Although I think she really weaned because the milk changed (she weaned the month I gave birth to her little sister).  She was just a little over 2 years old as well.

If you want to quit, then quit.  If you want to quit because it's hurting find out why it's hurting.
