We told everybody we were going to my moms today. Kids are with their dad. (who happens to live 5 houses away-we are really good friends)
ex hubby and kids just showed up. Cars are parked in garage so nobody knows we are home. Phones are off. We are hiding out. Ex and kids showed up to make us come for dinner. LOL.
How many people are invited to the ex huby for a holiday dinner LOL. It's normal for us, but still we were hiding out today! I always sucked at hide n seek. LOL
So time to get out of my camo jammies and get ready for my day. I was having steak and prawns for dinner. Damn it. LOL
Just to clarify-I did not lie to my children. today is dads day. Where I go on days they are with dad is not information I am forced to share with my kids. I don't need to tell them everything I do when they aren't looking.
The whole point was that my ex hubby invivted us over for Turkey day. And we are going.
Wow really!!!! It's not my Holiday with the kids. It's dads.
Don't judge me as a mother. That's NOT your job

U shouldn't lie to your kids. One day they will lie to you and you won't like it but you've shown them its ok. Sad.
so you NEVER lie? riiiight.
Op. that sucks! LOL id still hide out anyway LOL maybe they'd get hungry and walk away lol

It will be funny when you tumble from that high horse.
OP: Dang. Well steak and prawns tomorrow then. I think it's fantastic you get along so well with your ex. Your kids are truly lucky because that is rare.
I think it's great that you and ex are such great friends. That makes working with children much easier. I also don't see anything wrong with you not wanting to interfere with time with their dad. It's great that you two are so respectful of each other's time with the children. I hope ex can cook! Happy Thanksgiving!
